  • there is a lot of symbols in the novel to narrow down the Symbolism in chapter six would be Candy's dog who is shot cause of old age.Candy and his dog spent many years together and aged together not all being great.much like Lennie and George they have each other making it symbolic towards the story as is continues.

Humans have interesting relationships among each otherChanging relationship among humans can relate to how people relate to each other as slim relates to curleys wife without even knowing they have no relationship with anyone.
  • The character slim is a migrant worker who everyone respects as he has a positive and respectful personality.he becomes an close friend to George not having a companion as George does with Lennie.Slim helps protect lennie when he faces trouble with curley early on in the book understanding Lennie and Georges situation.
