  • NEP: New Economic Policy
  • Aaahhhh..... yes people will be able to own their small factories, but big corporations will remain under my power.
  • Union of Soviet Socialist Republic (U.S.S.R)
  • The new countries name is the U.S.S.R!!!
  • Our new name is the Communist Party!!!
  • Indoctrination
  • Stalin is amazing. he provides everything for us. He takes care of us by giving us food and shelter.
  • Stalin The Great
  • After the civil war, in March 1921, the "New Economic Policy" began. This was a plan started by Lenin, it gave the people a few more right, but in general the government still owned everything. In Lenin's plan peasants could sell what ever crops they had left for their own money. People could own small businesses, and government owns all big companies, banks, and major industries.
  • Collective Farms
  • The NEP helped the economy recover in a few years. By 1922 Lenin had established new names to the country and the Bolsheviks. The country was named Union Of Soviets Socialist Republics (U.S.S.R), and the Bolsheviks new name was the Communist Party. They Communist Party still held all power.
  • Great Purge
  • Yes sir.
  • You guys will make the intelligent, famous, old Bolsheviks, and the wealthy people disappear!!! I want NO MISTAKES.
  • Indoctrination was the principles that Stalin managed to put in every bodies mind. It was the brain washing of every Russian by Stalin. He acquired this by using propaganda. He shut down all religion, allowed no music, and no media unless it was based on him, the government, or the communist ideas. Stalin did all this to remain in power and to make himself look like a God because that is what the people were ever exposed to.
  • Five Year Plans
  • These quotas must be reached in order to industrialize our country. I expect these goals to be reached in no time. Does everyone understand!!!
  • The Five Year Plan
  • Collective farms were created by Stalin. He took the farms of many farmers and united to create huge farms called "collective farms". He then forced many citizens to work in these farms with low wages and long hours. The worst part was that food they cultivated was never for them. Instead it went to the government, which then contributed poorly. As a result 5.6 million people died of famine.
  • We want to keep our food!!! There is so much to get done and we are starving.
  • The Great Purge happened in the 1930. Stalin wanted to get rid of anyone who might threatened his power. Stalin targeted every one. Some of the groups he went after were: wealthy people, old Bolsheviks, wealthy farmers, educated people, and well-liked members of the communist party.
  • Five year plans were also created by Stalin. These five year plans were quotas or goals Stalin made up to industrialize the country. However, his quotas were outrages and impossible. Many people lied about reaching them so they would not get killed or sent of to a gulag (intense labor camps).
