  • The internal conflict in this story is that Scrooge is very rude, conceited, and greedy. He will suffer greatly in the afterlife if he does not change the way he is. Scrooge hates Christmas aswell. It is a battle in his own will.
  • The external conflict in this story is that Scrooge is very rude to Fred, Bob, and the Ghost of Christmas Past. He is very unkind to Fred and they argue about what Christmas means. Scrooge treats Bob as if he wasn't even a living soul and is often extremely harsh on him. He also refuses to go with Past when he first appears.
