Storyboard Text

  • Yeah, let’s do it!
  • Let’s look up what we could do there!
  • There must be something we could do.
  • I was thinking we could make petitions and spread the word about the harmful action that was said to take place this coming weekend.
  • Carly and her best friend Jake both wanted to visit the Delaware Water Gap over spring break. They were trying to plan out what to do so they went on Jake's computer to find activities to do there.
  • Let’s stand up and protect the land that’s full of fun and life!
  • Searching online for more about the Delaware Water Gap, a website popped up on the screen. The article stated that gas industries were planning on drilling in the river in the next few days. There had to be something they could do.
  • The two met up to discuss an idea Jake had thought of to prevent the drilling. They were going to make flyers and post them around their town to get the word out. By doing this, many people would join in to protest against the governor.
  • Best spring break ever!
  • Carly and Jake’s plan of protest were to post the flyers around their town. When lots of people gathered around, they were outraged by the corrupt activity that would harm the beautiful environment there.
  • The protesters and the two teens headed to the governor’s office to change his mind. He came outside, surprised that two teens started the whole protest and gathered all these citizens. Listening, he was impressed by the hard work these teenagers did.
  • We all do not approve of the drilling plan you are allowing to take place.
  • Over break, they were going to the river and doing almost everything. By taking a stand and spreading the word, the two teens were able to organize a group of citizens to help protect an area full of nature. They were proud and there’s no doubt about that.
