Storyboard Text

  • After the Revolution...
  • 'Hooray, Mr. Jones is no more! Equality for all!'
  • #7: "All animals are equal." (2.9)
  • "The [cows] had not been milked for twenty-four hours, and their udders were almost bursting." (2.10)
  • 'Now we have many buckets of milk!'
  • "The early apples were now ripening, and the grass of the orchard was littered with windfalls." (3.14)
  • 'Let's collect!'
  • One day...
  • "What happen[ed] to all the milk [and] apples?" (2.10)
  • It was later discovered that the milk and apples "had been mixed every day into the pigs mash" (3.14); however...
  • "Comrades! You do not imagine... that we pigs are doing this in a spirit of selfishness and privilege? Many of us actually dislike milk and apples. Milk and apples contain substances absolutely necessary to the well-being of a pig." (3.14)
  • "So it was agreed without further argument that the milk and the apples should be reserved for the pigs alone." (3.14)
  • "Do you know what would happen if we pigs failed in our duty? Jones would come back! Surely there is no one among you who wants to see Jones come back?" (3.14)
