On the morning of September 11th, 2011. 19 terrorist hijacked four planes at Boston's Logan airport. They chose 2 planes headed for the west coast because they would be loaded with fuel. There were 4 planes in the 9/11 attacks, 2 planes hit the towers, and 1 plane hit the pentagon and then the last plane hit in a Pennsylvania field.
The 9/11 attacks had both immediate and long-term economic impacts, some of which continue to this day. The attacks caused the dow to drop more than 600 points and 2001 recession to deepen. It also led to one of the biggest government spending programs in U.S. history, the war on Terror.
Buildings and Restaurants were destroyed and so many people died or were injured. 343 firefighters died throughout the 9/11 attacks, and 2,996 people died in the 9/11 attacks. The buildings and Restaurants were on fire and destroyed. So many families passed away, other people seeing there children die. So many little kids were on the planes and lost their lives at a young age, didnt know it was gonna happen.
