"Judge, I - this note is from my sister. She says my children are missing, haven't turned up since noon... I ... could you -"
(Mr Underwood): "They're in the colored balcony!"
"I don't know. You can come back after you eat supper. Go with Calpurnia."
"We've won, right? Please let us come back and hear the verdict!"
"The very idea, she's your little sister! If Mr. Finch don't wear you out, I will!"
Calpurnia is walking them home to eat supper, scolding Jem about exposing Scout to things she's too young for like rape. Jem doesn't listen to her because he's confident they won the case.
About an hour later, Scout, Jem, and Dill return to the courtroom. They wait for 2 1/2 hours for the trial to be over. Once everyone returns, Scout wakes up from her nap and Dill is asleep on Jem's shoulder.
"Guilty… guilty… guilty…guilty"
The colored balcony stood up as a sign as respect to Atticus for taking the case.
"Miss Jean Louise, stand up. Your father's passing."
