Abraham started Jewish History in 1900 B.C. Abraham's wife Sarah gave birth to Isaac. Isaac had 12 sons who were the 12 tribes of Israel.
Joseph was one of Isaac's sons who lived to Egypt, later on his family came to join him. 150 years after living there, things turned bad.
In 1290 B.C, Moses led the Israelite's outside of Egypt in an event called liberation and Yahweh formed a covenant at Mount Sinai. Eventually the Israelite's settled in Canaan (the promise land).
Saul was the first king after David. With help from Samuel the people voted him for King. Saul was brave in battle, he defeated Israelite's enemies battle after battle.
David was king before Saul. David was the greatest of all kings, he established Jerusalem as the major city.
Solomon was David's son. He built the temple that Saul wanted to build. Solomon had lots of great buildings, he eventually taxed the people while he was king to help pay for it. Solomon made many young men work in the mines of a neighboring country.
