  • The setting of the tell-tale heart takes place in an old mans house around 12 am. The characters in the tale are the old man, police officers, neighbors, and narrator. The tone of this tale is dark.
  • Climax
  • The conflict is man vs. man & man vs. self. Hes having problems with his own mentality and voices in his head. Its driving him crazy and hes going to lose it.
  • Falling Action
  • (Jury) We find the defendant.. Guilty of attempted murder and manslaughter in the second degree.
  • The narrator asks how the old man slept, even though he sneaks in his room at 12 am, to watch him sleep. He plans to kill him every night, though he he doesn't hate him, he hates the vulture eye.
  • Resolution
  • A big turning point in the tale is the narrator killing the old man. He finally lost his mind.
  • Help Meee
  • The conflict did not resolve. He's still crazy but he's locked up for it now.
  • The police knows the narrator killed him even though he invited him inside trying to act innocent. The old mans cry made the narrator go crazy in the head and confess to attempting murder.
