Storyboard Text

  • Form company soldiers
  • About face, left face, right face!
  • Marching and fighting became routine in a soldiers life. They would start their drills at 5:30 to learn how to handle a weapon, march in formation, and learn different battle maneuvers.
  • Left, left, left, right, left!
  • Pass it here!
  • The soldiers had many pastimes after a long day of work. They would take this time to write letters, read the newspaper, participate in social clubs, and prepare artillery.
  • Finally some sleep!
  • I'm a cheater, look in the mirror
  • You cheater.
  • Now, now it's only a game.
  • There was a spectrum of weapons and artillery during the civil war such as cannons, bayonets, and guns. To use a cannon the men had to push a stick of iron or lead down the hole to place the powder. Then they had to puncture the bag by using a friction primer to light it. These cannons could shoot .5 to 1.5 miles away.
  • Stand back shes about to blow!
