Storyboard Text

  • Henry?
  • England should be a more... protestant place.
  • What now, Anne?
  • I'll just go ahead with my plans to reform then..
  • I will allow it, once you are queen.
  • I will not become Protestant, however..
  • Four Years Later...
  • We are Protestant.
  • I guess I have to be Protestant.. even though I'm conflicted about it.
  • This is King Henry the VIII, and his Queen, Anne Boleyn. Anne would like to change England to a Protestant religion and Cathlicolism.
  • We don't need to listen to these ridiculous teachings anymore!
  • In this scene, Anne decides to convince Henry of her ways being favorable and starts the reformation herself. Henry does not become Protestant, despite the plans to be made in his name.
  • Guilty.
  • It took 4 years for England to become fully Protestant. Anne took her power and ran with it, completely flipping England upside down. Not everybody was happy about it, but couldn't go against the new law.
  • The public was also under the influence that to get into heaven, they had to avoid doing a series of sins. A man named Martin Luther cleared up this by creating the 95 Theses. This was from basic Catholic teaching, not the Protestant teachings.
  • Anne didn't last long in her new vision come true, as she was found guilty of treason.
  • Anne was executed, and Henry married many other women after her death. This was not the end of England's religious confusion, as there would be other leaders with the same Protestant thoughts.
