Nuclear arms race competition for supremacy in nuclear warfare took place. This was between the U.S. and the USSR.
USSR created the Communist Bloc. This increased the distrust between Communist and Democratic countries.
The USSR was involved with the Lend-Lease Act originally. The U.S. terminated Lend-Lease aid to the USSR because of their involvement with Communism.
