Thomas Paine and The Crisis

Thomas Paine was a writer and strong advocate of the American revolution. He wrote The American Crisis which was a series of articles that supported the ongoing revolution.
In The Crisis, Paine conveys the message that it is our duty as American citizens to protect our country and its freedoms, even when inconvenient. He does this by using an anecdote, rhetorical questions, and descriptive language.
