Siddhartha Guatama, or Buddha, was born near the border of Nepal and India.
Siddhartha Gautama was born into a wealthy family and his father was a wealthy landowner and one of the local chiefs.
His family had everything one could ask for including fine clothes, musicians, and many other luxuries.
Even though Siddhartha had everything he did not feel that he was living to his potential.
Siddhartha one day saw sights that were set up by the gods, an old man, sick person, dead person, and someone seeking happiness. This caused Siddhartha to become bald and give up his wealth for a life of simplicity.
Siddhartha left everything and went on a journey to find liberation from suffering. He underwent extreme self-denial techniques.
Eventually, Siddhartha realized that this technique wasn't working and shifted his practice to a middle way and grew off of this.
I can't wear clothes or eat food or a lot of things.
