  • Was that a mailbox...
  • I'm pretty sure there wasn't a drum..
  • There is a loaf of bread in the kitchen!
  • I thought the mailbox was a loaf of bread!
  • Why was there a drum in the kitchen!!!

  • In conclusion, expectations do affect perception. People have a perceptual set based on context which affects how accurately they recognise objects
