Storyboard Text

  • The prince Siddhartha Guatama
  • I wonder what life is like outside this wonderful palace. I must go out and figure out how other people live.
  • Illness
  • On his journeys, he saw the most severe forms of human suffering.
  • Old age
  • Death
  • Here he realised that none of the luxuries of the palace can mask the severe suffering of humanity. He made the decision to leave everything and live in the forest.
  • Without owning anything, there will be no suffering.
  • Six months later, after half a year of meditation, he achieved nirvana. A state of complete spiritual peace. It is here that he was told the answers to suffering.
  • I found it!
  • After being "enlightened", the Buddha taught and spread the secret to end suffering.
  • He taught the people to follow the 8 fold path. This path consists of eight different steps to achieve the end of suffering. These are; Right Intention, Right Speech, Right Action, Right Livelihood/Occupation, Right Endeavor, Right Mindfulness (total concentration in activity), and Right Concentration (meditation).
