Nitrogen is used to make fertilizers, nitric acid, nylon, dyes and explosives.
To make these products, Nitrogen must first be reacted with Hydrogen to produce Ammonia. This is done by the Haber process
Nitrogen can also be found in living organisms on earth including plants and animals.
The earths atmosphere is 78% Nitrogen gas or N2. Nitrogen can be found in some rare minerals such as saltpeter.
When Nitrogen is heated, it combines directly with Magnesium, Lithium, or Calcium.
When mixed with Oxygen and subjected to electric sparks, it forms Nitric Oxide (NO) and then Dioxide (NO2)
