Battle Of Gonzales
Constitutional Conenvtion of 1836
On October 2, 1835, American Colonists and The Mexican Government went to war over a cannon near Gonzales. All because the Mexican government thoguht that they should take the cannon. But the Texans refused, and then this happened.
The Goliad Massacre
Mexican Troops seige to the mission near San Antonio occupied by less than 200 Texans. Santa Anna wanted to show that he would not tolerate Texas rebels. People Involved; James Fannin, Santa Anna, Juan Seguin, and William B. Travis.
Battle at San Jacinto
Delegates met and decided to declare independence from Mexico. They proceed to write a constitution for the New republic in the next two weeks. People Involved; George Childress and Lorenzo de Zavala.
Treaties of Velasco
Mexican general Jose Urrea led an attack on Goliad and at that same time Fannin surrendered to the Texans. (Coleto Creek) People Involved; James Fannin.
