THE RULE OF THREE
After the power to the school is completely cut, the kids are released early to go home, but when they leave they find that it isn't just the computers and school devices that aren't working, but it is also most of their newer model cars due to them having so many electronic controls.
Herb, Adam's neighbor, had been waiting for them to arrive and had a generator running inside his house. He invited them in and he explained a little bit more about his previous professions. Originally working as a spy for the government, he had seen blackouts like this before, but this was much larger than he had expected.
The blackout lasted for much longer than anyone had forseen, and the community bonded together as to protect eachother from anyone that was to try and take what they had.
In the city, an uprising begins and military personel turn against the towns. Bonding together, they store weapons and armored vehicles, and destroy most of the city, taking what they want, and burning what they dont.
After much fighting between the uprising and Adam's community, the uprising is practically destroyed after loosing much of its fire power and its Cessna. The story ends with an interesting twist and continues in two more books.
