Why am I at home? What is going on?
"Hello there Jonas, I am going to transmit the memory of something spectacular."
"Please close your eyes. I will transfer the memory of getting a pet. You might be very pleased with the outcome of this memory. I am sure that it will make you smile."
Jonas looked around the room wondering why he was at home. What was the thing The Giver called a pet?
"What's happening?!" Jonas screamed. A tiny furry creature made his way to Jonas. "Is this what the giver calls a dog?" he whispered.
The dog was coming closer now by the second. Jonas was getting tense and the dog sensed that. The dog started licking Jonas's shoe and started jumping up and down. Jonas thought that it looked very friendly. The two started playing and became the best of friends.
Jonas opened his eyes and looked around the room. He was still in the bed he was laying on. "How did you like the memory?" The Giver asked. Jonas thought about how fun it was playing with his new friend. He was sure he would be having dreams about him now. "It was incredible," Jonas stated.
