As lava cooled Rocky the rock was born. He was an Extrusive Igneous Rock.
Because of weathering Rocky Rock is eroding away.
The rock was deposited on the ocean floor, and cemented and compacted to make a sedimentary rock.
A shift in the tectonic plates pushed Rocky down. Where there was a lot of heat and pressure. Eventually he was a metamorphic rock.
The heat and pressure melted him too, and made him Magma.
Eventually volcanic activity will happen and he will be an Igneous Rock again.
