  • Brother's Character Trait
  • Work doodle. Just try and walk you can do it.
  • Regret: This scene shows regret  because when Brother goes back for Doodle he realizes he is dead and it is his fault. He had pushed him to far to the point of his death. He regrets his decisions.
  • Doodle's Character Trait
  • Faster!!!
  • Sorrow: This scene made me feel sorrow for doodle because he sees this bird as him self and it died in front of him. He turned very serious and took the bird to the front to burry it. He seemed very depressed and was not even up for desert. This made me feel sorrow for Doodle cause it also foreshadowed is death.
  • Theme
  • Brother is a static character because he never changes. He stays selfish thought the story wanting his brother to be "normal". He is ashamed to have a brother that is different and he tries to change that. But then he realizes he is selfish and killed his brother on accident.
  • Fig. Language
  • Doodle is a dynamic character because he changes through the story by going from not being confident in him self to going to where he feels like he can do a lot. This change happens when Doodle learns to walk cause this is where he becomes more "normal".
  • Theme: Pride sometimes clouds our judgement on what is right and wrong.
  • Simile: "He collapsed like a half empty-sack flour sack" The author uses this simile to show how Doodle has no muscle to hold him self up so he just falls. Simile: "Our laughter peeling through the swamp like a ringing bell" The author uses this simile to show how hard they laughed at their successfulness when all odds where against them.
