  • Before the attack on Pearl Harbor, the United States was involved in World War ll by providing countries, like Britain, weapons and other materials.
  • This is unfair!
  • In the United States, Japanese people were interned because they were believed to be dangerous. They were put into camps. Executive Order 9066 made this possible.
  • The D-Day Invasion was an invasion of France by American, British, and Canadian forces. It took a lot of planning, and resulted in the freeing of Western Europe.
  • Secure the beaches!
  • Japanese forces fought and conquered many nations throughout the war, like in the Pacific. 
  • Japan bombed Pearl Harbor because Japan and the United States failed to reach a compromise on their issues. The bombing came as a surprise to the United States army.
  • The lasting impact of World War II was that close to 50 nations endorsed a treaty sponsored by the United States, leading to a more peaceful relationship between nations.
