Jon Root moved to Chicago, where he was employed as a draftsman in an architectural firm. Daniel Burnham and his partner, John Root, were the architects who built the fair which gave a positive global reputation for Chicago. After the tragic death of Root, Burnham faces many obstacles, as the fair's construction is going through many difficulties.
Daniel Burnham, the driving force behind the Chicago World's Fair of 1893. He plans the construction and time needed to built the fair. Frederick Law Olmsted, landscape architect, and George Washington Gale Ferris also help Daniel design the world fair. All the members on the board of construction meet in Burnham & Root's library This meeting was the beginning of work on the Exposition.
