Daily Life In Rome Rome was a carefully planned city. With a Forum at the center. Wealthy Romans lived in large, comfortable houses. They also had Roman apartments for poor people. So the poor people didn't riot the senators decided to give the poor people free bread and circus tickets.It was called Bread and Circuses
Slaves fought in the colosseum against other slaves and vicious beasts. They did this for entertainment, but most of the animals and people died. The animals came from underground bunkers and through the colosseum doors. The dead people and animals were feed to the animals
