I don't understand.
Hi, I'm Tutok!
The ship is gone, and Tutok is gone.
Bye,Island of the Blue Dolphins.
All of a sudden, the Aleuts arrived on the island. Karana tried to hide from them, but one girl from the Aleuts spotted her. The girl walked up to Karana and said that her name was Tutok, but Karana didn't understand her language. So,Tutok used gestures to communicate to her. Ever since Karana has Tutok, she finally has human contact with someone and the two of them started to get along.
Karana and Tutok grew even closer then they were before. They made up games, shared words in their language, and Karana even told Tutok her real name. However, one day the fun had to come to an end. Karana went to the headland and saw the boat was getting ready to leave so she watched as Tutok and the other men left her island. Since Tutok left, Karana has no one to talk to and has the equal amount of companions when Tutok wasn't here.
Ever since Tutok left, Karana was spending a lot of time with Rontu, like the old days. But one day, Karana checked on Rontu and he wasn't the same. His heart was beating but very slow, until it stopped, Rontu was dead. Karana carried Rontu on the headland to bury him. After that, she got a new pet called Rontu-Aru. Out of nowhere, a boat came and saw Karana. She packed up all her things and left the island forever. Ever since she left the island with people, she's not alone anymore.
