Storyboard Text

  • During the 12 century, after the death of Muhammad of Ghor, his slave, Aibak, declared independence and established the Delhi Sultanate, a Muslim sultanate, in Northern India which ruled for 320 years. This Sultanate consisted of 5 dynasties which were the Mamluk/Slave dynasty, the Khalji dynasty, the Tughlaq dynasty, the Sayyid dynasty, and the Lodi dynasty.
  • The Delhi Sultanate later collapsed in 1526 C.E. marking the end of the Lodi dynasty and happened because of many different aspects.
  • One major reasoning for the collapse of the Delhi sultanate was its constant raids and attacks from the Monguls and many other groups of people.
  • THIS LAND WILL FALL TO THE MIGHTY MONGOLS!!!
  • Really, why must we keep getting attacked? Don't think you are the first or even the last!
  • Another major reason the Delhi sultanate collapsed was because of the conflicting religions between the western region of India that was primarily Hindu while the northers part of India was ruled by an Islamic sultanite.
  • People of Northern India! Come to Western India we have stayed true to the Hindu ways instead of this foreign religion!
  • The collapse of the Delhi sultanate was also influenced by the constant change of leadership/dynasties.
  • What dynasty are we in I keep forgetting, they has been so many I'm losing count!
  • Another major reasoning for the collapse of the Delhi Sultanate was it's weak governing system with little control over its people.
  • Hello? Why dosent anyone care about what I say?
  • The final straw that brought the Delhi sultanate to collapse was in 1526 when the Leader of the Mughals, Bābur, destroyed what little control the Lodi dynasty had over its people.
  • I'm here to take this land in the name of the Mughals!
  • AHHHHHH..... RUN!!!!!
