There was once a kid named Usti. Like the Indian name it means little in the Cherokee tribe in Tennessee. One day he was made fun of because he was little and couldn't hunt. The following day he packed up his weapon and went into the gloomy wilderness. His mother stopped him. "were are you going" she wailed. Usti ignored her then jogged away to the pitch-black forest.
While he was returning to the village it suddenly got very dark. There was no moonlight. There was a thundering voise that said"you'll pay" Usti wasn't frieghtened at all. The moonlight came back and now Usti returned to the village. He saw the chief and gave him the deerskin., He fast walked to his mother a showed her the deer skin. That night she made him dinner and made clothing out of the deerskin. Usti quickly gathered pumkins, squash, and corn to make stew.
When he arrived at the forest a brisk wind hit him. He didn"t care if it was windy he justed cared about killing the animal. A law and in the religion says you can't kill animals for fun or for a sport only if you needed to to kill an animal like if you were hungry. Usti saw an apple tree. He walked towards it and was about to start eating the apple when he glipsed at a little brown spot on the apple. He quickly tossed the apple into the creek. He did did that with another apple. THe third apple he saw a worm. He wingled the apple until the worm fell out. He smashed the apple on the worm until it was dead. After he did that a voice was heard. " Go'' the voise retorted " away
" I said you'll pay " the voice miffed " Let's see how you like it to be a deer. You broke a rule in the Cherokee tribe and now you will pay! Usti touched the hot, glowing, and bright light and was converted into a deer. The following day the tribe started looking for Usti and never found him.
Utsi kept goin into the deep, dark, and distressing wilderness. Suddenly he heard a branch breaking. He rapidly crouched down with his spear behind a big but fat rock. He looked behind it and saw in the distance a deer! Usti leaned back then another brisk wind occuured. Once again Usti ingnored it and again leaned back and threw his spear. It sadly hit the deer. He was more happy than sad because an animal died.He sprinted to the deer and took out his bag and put the deer skin in it to show his tribe!
When he was about to go back to his house that was made of plaster abd rivercane he heard a wail.It was like a girl crying so he quickly sprinted toward the yell. It was leading to the gloomy forest but was still going. Usti ended up were he killed the deer. There was a light in the sky that looked like the sun but in a small way. It was bright and felt hot. It slowly approached Usti.
