St. Francis de Sales was born 1567, France. His father wanted him to be a soldier in the army so he went to Paris to study in order to become a soldier.
During this time, Francis has known his vocation from God was to become a priest. So he studied his faith, the bible, and prayed to God when he had time. He later became a priest and preached, wrote, and taught about God.
Francis preached about God and told people to love God, and he also said, "If there was anything more ecellent than meekness,s God would've taught us."
When Francis wasn't preaching, he was writing about God. These writings were teachings of God and some told us advice on how to live.
Francis received a letter from King Louis XIII, asking for him to confer at Auigon regarding the french part of his diocese.
So today we remember what teachings St. Francis de Sales left us and how he effected the world greatly. Espectially with his teachings
