Storyboard Description

Sacagawea was born 1788 in Lemhi County Idaho. Her parents are Otter Woman and Smoked Lodge. Her sibling is Canneahuait. When she was 12 (in 1800), she was kidnapped by a war party of Hidatsa Indians-- enemies of her people, the Shoshones. Sacagawea was then sold to a French-Canadian Toussaint Charbonneau who made her one of his wives. Sacagawea had no formal education; she was a Shoshone interpreter. Sacagawea had kids named Jean Baptiste(oldest) and Lizette Charbonneau. She gave birth to Jean on February 11th, 1805. Lastly, Sacagawea died on December 20, 1812, North Dakota.
