Storyboard Text

  • In this first part of the scene Benvolio is urging Mercutio that they leave because there is heat and he feels like something bad is going to happen.
  • " I pray good Mercutio, lets retire."
  • " God send me o need of thee! " and by the operation of the second cup drawers him on the drawer..."
  • Tybalt comes into the scene looking for someone and starts talking to Mercutio. Tybalt consorts with Mercutio ( argues).
  • ?
  • " Consort? What, dost thou make us minstrels?
  • " Mercutio, thou consortest with Romeo"
  • After seeing that Romeo has become more afemenet he challenges Tybalt to a duel. Benvolio tells them not to fight because everyone will stare.
  • " Boy, this shall not excuse the injuries"
  • " O calm, dishonorable, vile submission! Alla stoccata carries it away.
  • " Here all eyes gaze on us."
  • " Tybalt, the reason that I have to love thee doth much excuse the appertaining age."
  • Tybalt and Mercutio fight and Romeo and Benvolio manage to restrain them. While Tybalt is under Romeo's are Tybalt slashes Mercutio and then flies.
  • "Hold, Tybalt! Good Mercutio!"
  • " What, art thou hurt? "
  • " A plague o' both your houses! I am sped"
  • Tybalt reenters the scene and challenges Romeo to a duel. Romeo ends up slashing Tybalt and killing him in front of the whole village.
  • " Thou, wretched boy, that didst consort him here, Shalt with him hence."
  • " This shall determine that."
  • " O romeo, O romeo, brave Mercutio is dead."
  • The prince is soon told and goes to the village and finds him two people dead in the middle of the village. He then banishes Romeo for killing Tybalt.
  • "O, I am fortune’s fool!"
  • "And for that offense Immediately we do exile him hence."
  • "Tybalt, here slain, whom Romeo’s hand did slay. Romeo, that spoke him fair, bid him bethink"
