I am so excited to see this factory! It is so big and successful! I wonder how Mr. Wonka keeps it running!
This is Charlie! Charlie comes from a poor family. Charlie found a dollar bill on the ground.
Hi! I am Mr. Wonka! It is a pleasure to meet you.
Charlie used the bill to buy a candy bar. Charlie found a golden ticket in his candy bar. Charlie won a prize. He ran home to tell his family.
Oompa Loompas come from a different land. They work my factory.
Charlie's prize was to get to go into a chocolate factory, tour it, and meet the mysterious owner, Mr. Wonka. Charlie was allowed one guest. Charlie picked his grandfather to accompany him.
Four other children also won the same prize as Charlie; Augustus, Veruca, Violet, and Mike. These children were much wealthier than Charlie, and are self centered and greedy. All five children and their guests were super excited to meet Mr. Wonka
Mr. Wonka takes the children on a tour of his factory. The children meet Mr. Wonka's workers. They are called oompa loompas. Oompa Loompas are short creatures from a different land. The five children all love the oompa loompas.
While touring the factory, Augustus gets sucked into a chocolate river, Veruca becomes obsessed with a golden egg, Violet chews forbidden gum and turns into a blueberry, and Mike shrinks in size to fit into a TV. By the end, the only character left is Charlie. Mr. Wonka tells Charlie that he has won the ultimate prize; his factory.
