  • Mel had just finished cleaning the park
  • FINALLY! I finished cleaning the park . There was so much dirt here today.
  • she sees someone throwing trash on the grass she had just cleaned
  • cooldrink cans and paper
  • you've got to be kidding me!
  • Mel approached the boy...
  • sorry I did not know I was upsetting somebody
  • 1. we can separate recyclable from non-recyclable the recyclable things go into a bin with a sign and non recycle go into the bin
  • excuse me ! but why did u throw the trash on the grass and not in the bin?
  • why are you getting so upset anyway?
  • 1.because I just finished picking up all the papers and trash.
  • 2. because you are littering and increasing the risk of pollution
  • Mel explains that land pollution is anything that damages or contaminates the land. And that chemicals from the trash can contaminater the soil and underground water we need for drinking
  • what is land pollution?
  • pollution?
  • yes!pollution .... but literring is called land pollution
  • the boy never ever littered again from that day on. And always recycled. and before he left he threw his garbage in the trash and recycle bin.
  • what do I do to stop land pollution?
  • that way the non recyclable garbage wont be thrown with the non recyclable trash and not contaminate
