  • How could you do that? Someone help us!

  • After
  • Those poor Patriots! How could Britain do this to them?
  • Tensions are high in Boston between Patriots and British troops. This all comes after the French and Indian War. Britain needed a new source of revenue, hence the new taxes on the colonies.
  • Angry patriots yell, spit and even teach their dogs to nip at the British redcoats. One thing leads to another, a redcoat gets bumped, panics and shoots. Chaos ensues with several unarmed patriots shot and some dead.
  • Patriot Paul Revere takes this as on opportunity for propaganda. He creates an engraving entitled, "The Bloody Massacre". This shows the patriots as complete victims, and persuades many colonists to sympathize with the patriots.
