"Now don't get your sister hasn't turned into a drunk yard.."This is the audience's first true introduction to Blanche as a character
"Whoever you are- I have always depended on the kindness of strangers" (scene 11)
The end of scene , after Blanche is escorted out of the flat by the doctor, first against her own will, then Blanche reaches a level of peace as she allows herself to leave. This is significant for Blanche, as well as Stanley because it shows his dominance over Stella.
"Stay back! Don't you come toward me another step or I'll.."
This occurs in scene where Stanley finally gets his display of power and dominance by raping Blanche, now dominating the stern gender roles of strength and masculinity that blanche tried to obscure.
These two moments reveal some of the depth of the things that have occurred to Blanche and show the betrayal of her sister and the power and dominance associated with gender roles, affecting not only Blanche but Stella as well.
