Comic on Emperor Asoka for Early India.
My name is Emperor Asoka.
I came to hate bloodshed, so I decided to help and build hospitals.
I, Emperor Asoka also had laborers build thousands of stupas, buddhist shrines that are in the shape of a dome.
When I saw suffering I vowed to relieve it. Buddhism reflected in my beliefs, so I became a buddhist.
I told people to live with compassion and little sin.
I had my government officials keep me informed of the needs of the people.
I died as Emperor Asoka in 232 B.C.
