Welcome to Ms Neil's Heart Writing
Sometimes we can't think what to write about, so we are going to use our family, friends, favorite trips and best memories to help us.
Through the course of the year we will be writing quite a bit! So today we are going to work on generating ideas for our writing.
Add graphic of a heart outline
We will be using a heart outline to draw and describe our family, friends, vacations or favorite things. This will help us have ideas handy when we need to write about something.
In your heart, draw and label at least 3 items. Think about your family, your favorite holiday, best friend, favorite activity, and favorite toy.
Let me show you how we can generate ideas for writing by sharing my heart.
By Including my family in my heart, I can think of so many memories we have had as a family to write about. I can also write about my favorite trip. You see, things that are dear to our heart, can inspire our writing!
Add heart to the scene.
Now that I have put together a few things which are dear to my heart, I have some ideas to write about. Now it's your turn to build your heart!
I can already tell you all have some awesome ideas to write about!
