Feeling very rejected and upset, Elya wanders the small villiage until he reaches the dock, he soon finds out that the captain wants strong and able young men, free passage to America is included as a reward! Elya gratefully acepts and soon forgets all about Madame Zeroni and Myra and all other things!
In America Elya is constantly searching for Madame Zeroni's son, he asks everyone he sees, "Do you know a Zeroni?" The answer is always the same, "Sorry, no."

While working one day, Elya met a girl, her name was Sarah, she was beautiful, smart and she cared for ELya! Perfect!!
After his barn was hit by lightning for a third time, Elya tried to have "the talk" with her but, Sarah was adamant, she will stay with Elya. And so grudgingly, Elya gave in. Seeing that she had convinced him, they talked the night away!
