Storyboard Text

  • Exposition
  • Stand up for Allah's sake!
  • Rising Action
  • Climax
  • I will grant you a wish
  • In the Exposition, Ala al-Din is a lazy boy who thinks only to eat and sleep, until a black dwarf arrived at the door of the house, asking for Ala al-Din, saying that he was his uncle.
  • Conflict
  • His uncle told Ala al-Din's mum that he would take him to a cave in the middle of the desert for a walk, but instead of that, he had planned to use Ala al-Din to access a cave of riches full of rubies and diamonds, but most importantly, a lamp.
  • Falling Action
  • Ala al-Din rubs his hands together, and in doing so, rubs his ring which his "uncle" gave him. The ring was supposed to protect him. An ifrit appears beside him and grants him a wish, which is to come out of the cave.
  • Resolution
  • I think that in this dramatic moment, it is character vs. character (Ala al-Din vs. the black dwarf). It shows how the black dwarf tried to leave Ala al-Din to die in the cave, but also show how Ala-al-Din persevered, and was determined enough to not stop trying. It shows the conflict between the two characters, and a little bit of what they did to each other.
  • The black dwarf goes back home to dwell on the turn of events, and to seek revenge on the boy Ala al-Din who ruined all his plans.
  • After having gotten out, Ala al-Din finally spots the town, and hurriedly runs back to his mother to tell her about the past events, while the black dwarf traveled back to Africa, and planted his dark and poisonous anger into the dark, poisonous and twisted jungle.
