  • The boy then opened the door and walked out the room...
  • In the greatness of our valleys, by good angles tenanted...
  • For several days the narrator tried to comfort his friend and try to take the sadness away from him. They painted, reading, and playing the guitar to distract Usher.
  • Can I cheer Usher up and help him?
  • The narrator and Usher are reading a book to pass the time.
  • My dear sister passed away. My I have your help to put her body in a vault? I don't want her body to dissected by scientist.
  • Usher is playing his guitar and singing a song. It has been several days since the narrator fist arrived. The name of Madeline has not been spoken off or seen since the first day.
  • My dearest twin!
  • The narrator is complicating weather he can help usher or not. The narrator sees Usher slowly going insane.
  • Usher tells the narrator that his sister, Madeline, has passed away. Usher wants the narrators help to put his sister's body in a vault because she has a rare disease and doesn't want her to be dissected.
  • Usher and the narrator put Madeline's body in the vault. The narrator sees a resemblance between Usher and Madeline as the close her coffin. Usher also mumblers words that the narrator uses to conclude that Usher and Madeline are twins. As they close the vault, they find it weird that she has a smile on her face and bush on her checks.
