What is going on... I am so scared... i just feel like something is up.
The narrator and Usher are talking a couple days after Madeline's burial. The narrator sees a change in Usher mental disorder.
Not hear it? --- yes, i heard it and have heard it.
The narrator is trying to sleep on the couch. A tremour come over the narrator and he struggles to get the nervousness feeling off of him. His feelings influenced by the gloomy furniture in the room.
Do I not distinguish that heavy and horrible beating of her heart? MADMAN!
The narrator decides to get dress and pace back and forth in the chamber. He is overcome with horror. He hears long low sounds that came through the breaks of the storm.
MADMAN! NOW I TELL YOU THAT SHE STANDS NOW WITHOUT THE DOOR!
The narrator stops reading the book once more because of the noises. He looks to Usher and hears is saying something.
The narrator gets up and walks over to Usher to comfort him. He is still talking to himself.
Usher now jumps out of his seat and screams "MADMAN! NOW I TELL YOU THAT SHE STANDS WITHOUT A DOOR!"
