Storyboard Text

  • Come inside my castle! I am not naturally good so I evil only invite a thousand of my closet friends.
  • I'm not naturally good so I will invite only a thousand of my closest friends into my castle.
  • My entire castle is stocked. I am motivated to keep everyone inside and not let the Red Death get in.
  • The Red Death was raging and Prince Prospero would not let it get to him. He invited about 1,000 of his closest friends form his knights and dames of his court to come live with him in his castle that would be protected from the disease. Nobody could go in or out of the castle so that the disease could not ravage the people inside.
  • Oh no! Who is this figure? He looks like a corpse of a victim of the Red Death.
  • Prince Prospero's castle held 7 apartments. Each apartment was a certain color and had a stained glass window with a corresponding color to match the room it was in. The apartments were strangely laid out and there was a sharp turn at every 20 or 30 yards so you could only see one apartment at a time. there was one odd apartment that was black and had a red stained glass window instead of a corresponding color.
  • After 5 or 6 months of being locked and cooped up in the castle, the prince decided to host a masked ball for his guests and himself. The ball was held in all 7 apartments but no one dared to go into the black room with the blood red window. In this apartment there stood a clock of ebony which rang out with a ghastly noise every hour on the hour.
  • When the clock struck 12 some of the people realized that a figure stood in the room with them, one they had never seen before. The figure wore a masked that looked like a person who had died from the Red Death. Prince Prospero was angered by the figure and demanded he be unmasked. The figure would not unmask itself and on one attempted to try. Then the masked figure turned to walk away through the apartments.
  • Prince Prospero rushed through all the rooms toward the masked figure. While doing so, he pulled out a dagger and got ready to stab the figure. When they reached the black room the figure turned toward the prince and the prince dropped down the floor, dead. Gaining courage, some people rushed into the room and lunged at the figure but the figure vanished into thing air and the cloak was untenanted by any form.
  • The Red Death had come and dropped the people one by one in the halls of the secure castle. The ebony clock went out when the last person fell to the ground. The Red Death thus reigned supreme over all.
