Storyboard Text

  • 4.2.18-19
  • ¨Where I have learned me to repent the sin of disobedient opposition¨(4.2.18-19)
  • 4.1.51-54
  • ¨Tell me not, Friar, that thou hear´st of this, unless thou tell me how I may prevent it. If in thy wisdom thou canst give no help, do thou call my resolution wise, and with this knife I´ll help it presently (4.4.51-54).
  • 4.5.25-26
  • ¨Send for the county. Go tell him of this. I´ll have this knot knit up tomorrow morning¨(4.5.25-26)
  • When Juliet states this quote to her father she is trying to apologize and tell her father where she had gone. Therefore, she is saying I went somewhere today and I learned that being disobedient  to your father is a sin.
  • 4.5.28-29
  • ¨Death lies upon her like an untimely frost upon the sweetest flower of all the field¨(4.5.28-29).
  • In this quote you can clearly see how desperate and upset Juliet is. She is stating that if the Friar cant help her solve this issue she will kill herself. This therefore shows her upsetting and despairing tone by her words and thoughts on actions in order to solve her issue.
  • 1.2.49-50
  • ¨Take thou some new infection to thy eye, and the rank poison of the old will die¨(1.2.49-50).
  • This quote shows dramatic irony because Capulet thinks Juliet will be wed tomorrow but the readers know that Juliet is gonna take the vile, and the wedding won't happen. The readers also know that Juliet is already married, and Capulet is unaware.
  • 4.3.14-16
  • ¨Farewell!-God knows when we shall meet again. I have faint cold fears thrills through my veins¨(4.3.14-16).
  • This metaphor is used to describe Juliet as Capulet sees her ¨dead¨. This metaphor compares  Juliet to a beautiful flower that was killed by a frost.
  • I blame Benvolio for all the mistakes and misfortune that has occurred  due to one important event that he caused. In the beginning of Act 1, scene 2  Benvolio talks Romeo into going to the Capulets party to find a new girl. If Benvolio never told Romeo to go to the party Juliet and Romeo would have never met. If Romeo and Juliet never met there would be no deaths and no breakings of the families ways.
  • This scene showed the drama term of a soliloquy.  At this time Juliet is about to take the vile that Friar gave to her. She is then alone and expresses her thoughts and worries about taking the vile given to her.
