Isaac Newton was born on January 4th, 1643 in Woolsthorpe, England. He was a premature baby and was not expected to survive.
When only 3 months old, Isaac's father had died. His mother remarried another man. Isaac grew up the rest of his childhood with his 2 step-sisters and step-brother.
Isaac Newton studied at the University of Cambridge, Trinity College, and The King's School. He was a philosopher, astronomer, scientist, physicist, and mathematician.
Isaac Newton was never married, therefore he never had any offsping.
Newton was famous for his law of gravitation. One of his most well-known quotes is, "What goes up must come down."
Newton's law of universal gravitation helped society develop the formation of modern calculus and the foundation for modern physics. Without this law and his discoveries related the mathematics would almost make it impossible to solve most of the things in math.
