Storyboard Text

  • Sarah, you wrote this test late because you wanted to cheat. (attack on motive)
  • But Mrs.Lee , how do you know that? I was sick that’s why i was absent.
  • Last time Michael was absent, he was caught cheating on the test the next day, therefore you must have cheated as well. (Fallacy of hasty generalization)
  • Mrs.Lee , you are generalizing. I was actually sick and I have a doctors note.
  • During the time you were writing the test, I saw something flashing in your pocket, and that must have been your phone. (Decomposition)
  • Yes, I had my phone with me but that doesn’t mean that i was using it.
  • I don’t know why you’re arguing with me. The only reason why you missed the test is because you wanted to cheat or skip the test. (black and white)
  • Mrs.Lee im not trying to argue but you can call home to ask my parents
  • No you must have lied to your parents that you went to the doctors. (jumping to conclusion)
  • Mrs. Lee stop jumping to conclusions. I don’t know how else to convince you.
  • If you continue to write the test late, it’s going to lead to you failure therefore you can not be absent on the day of the test. (slippery slope)
  • I’ll try not to be absent on the day of the test but this time it wasn’t in my control.
