The Broken Blade~Addison Van Zee
This storyboard does not have a description.
'Why do you have to leave honey?'
"To get our family more money, because I get money in advance, and I got hired. I know I dont want to leave either."
I am holding up pretty well after leaving St. Annes, my brigade is okay I guess, most of them are pretty nice. I feel sore, very sore, I have blisters on my hands. I am not homesick surprisingly, sometimes I get sea sick when the water is rough.

This was such a wild, crazy, experience! My whole brigade was thinking we would have to portage, but we didn't! WE made it through with only a few scraces and dents, but nothing too big.
It is very rough and tiring crossing the big lake. We are hugging the shoreline because it is very windy and hard in the middle. I am so afraid the waves are going to dash our canoe or even worse, tear it apart!
The trading post is so cool! There is so many people. In the distance it didn´t seem so special, but when I got here I was amazed at how cool it is. I wish I could stay here forever, with my family. I met so many nice people. I don´t want to leave!
I decided I am going to head back to Lachine with my brigade, I decided this because I miss my family, friends, and home. I am not sure if I will sign on next spring. Being a voyageur made me mature, strong, confident, have responibility, and have more care. It is hard to winter in a canoe because if your are not prepared you can get hurt or die. I can not wait until I get home!
