  • At School
  • Three Months Later
  • This is Sam. Sam is 14 years old, very smart and athletic, and he loves his family. Sam loves his life.
  • 2 More Months Later
  • Sam was offered heroin at school, gave in, and decided to try it just once. He promised himseslf he would not get addicted.
  • After One Year of Using Heroin...
  • Sam got addicted to heroin and couldn't stop taking it. It made him feel so great, if he didn't have it he would feel awful. His family still hadn't learned about his addiction. He was often red and cold, and very fatigued. He felt sick and threw up often.  He had marks on his arms from injecting himself with heroin.
  • 2 months later
  • Sam had decided he should stop taking Heroin. He became very depressed and wasn't motivated to do anything. He felt sick all the time
  • After Sam started taking heroin again, his parents noticed and he got kicked out of the house. He spent all of his money on drugs and lived on the streets, he barely gathered enough money to feed himself, much less pay for heroin. He wished he could go back in time and and tell himself not to take the drugs.
  • Sam had an overdose on drugs. He got pushed over his limit and didn't survive. Sam wished he had never started taking drugs. His family gives the message to all kids that they shouldn't take drugs. Don't do it for popularity, happiness, or any other reason. Drugs aren't worth your life.
