Coming. I am sorry I started to fall asleep...
The fact that the raven repeats the phrase, "nevermore" is ironic because it can me anything and everything. The narrator is so lost that he twists the phrase so that it has meaning.
When there is a tapping on the door, we expect there to be a visitor but we find that there is no one there.
By the end of the poem, we know that the raven is no ordinary raven. He is a symbol of death and in the end takes the narrator's soul.
