  • It is a slave who is sent to the kitchen to eat when the owner has over company.

  • The boy is an equal no matter the color of your skin.

  • The authors attitude is angry because he is being treated like a dog or an animal but definitely not a Human.
  • The shift is in the third stanza where he is speaking his mind and planning.
  • It is a slave who's Owner is having company and he is being sent to eat in the kitchen instead of in the dining room with the people.
