Hey! Will you go over the study guide with me? I had a couple problems I got stuck on.
Of course! OK.. See you said that homozygous was gene combination of 1 dominant and 1 recessive trait, you switched that up with heterozygous. Homozygous is gene combination involving 2 dominant or 2 recessive traits.
What exactly are traits? Also what are genetics? I need to refresh
A trait is a characteristic that is passed from parent to offspring. Genetics are the study of heredity.
You guys really don't know this stuff. I have it from the top of my head. Diploid is having 2 homologous sets of chromosomes, Gamete is a sex cell, and The probability of you two getting an A is probably a 40 percent chance.
OK. I think I'm starting to understand, and alleles are 2 forms of a gene interchangeable with trait. What is the difference between genetype and phenotypE?
Phenotype is physical feature resulting from a genotype, tall, short, etc. Genotype is gene combination for a trait.
